Let's Go Mamak Again!
SYNOPSIS:Inner Voices made an impressionable appearance at their first concert last year.
Composer / Music Director Ken Hor, Saxophonist / Music Director Julian Chan along with 12 other contemporary and ethnic musicians bagged four BOH Cameronian Arts Awards for Let's Go Mamak including Best Group Performance, Best Music Direction, Best Composition and Kakiseni Audience Choice Award.
Conceptually, the concert is a metaphor of the typical Malaysian social institution - the Mamak - which symbolises the unification of different types of people from different racial backgrounds, culture and ethnic groups. The Mamak has become a place where everyone can meet for various social activities or just to relax, a place where diverse sights and sound come together.
By experiencing this piece of performing arts centered around our local culture and brouguht to life by multi-cultural musicians, Inner Voices continues to uphold its mantra - UNITY THROUGH MUSIC.
Like last year, Let's Go Mamak Again features some of the most prominent names in the Malaysian music industry including Julian Chan, Fung Chern Hwei, Prakash Kandasamy, Jimmy Ch'ng, Tay Cher Siang and Kamrulbahri Hussin.
